Prof. Dr. Vidya Krishnan

Vidya Krishnan is a pulmonary, critical care and sleep physician and professor of medicine at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.  She completed her internal medicine residency at University of Chicago, and pulmonary and critical care fellowship, sleep training and a Master's degree in Health Sciences at Johns Hopkins University.  She is currently the CWRU Medical School Block leader for pulmonary curriculum (a pre-clinical course) and the Vice Chair fo Academic Affairs for the MetroHealth department of medicine and former chair of the Patient and Family Education Committee for the American Thoracic Society.  Her research interests are broad, and generally include the impact of sleep disorders on chronic health conditions, including asthma, pulmonary hypertension and cirrhosis.  Her interest in teaching and scholarship have led to a newer focus in her career on how to cultivate interest in scholarship in the newer generations of medical students.
