Karina Mocanu (Communication Manager)

Karina holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Communications and Marketing at Université Libre de Bruxelles. With a background in Political Science at the same university, she has worked in different communication missions within diplomacy, scientific research, tobacco control- and cancer-related NGOs and EU projects. She has been involved for many years with the European Network for Smoking and Tobacco Prevention (ENSP) in the role of the Communication Manager and the Coordinator of ENSPnext (the youth working group). She is a very determined public health advocate with a special patient approach, as she has also received the certificate delivered under the ELMO European Health & Fitness Lifestyle Advisor Certification Program and has worked as an Early Stage Researcher within the Laboratory of Toxicology (University of Crete) and the Tobacco Control Unit at the Catalan Institute of Oncology (Barcelona).
